Sales Contract for Rising Star Kennel

1)     Breeder acknowledges that the puppy is in good health and is physically sound at the time of sale.  A set of care instructions is provided with this contract including, a record of all vaccinations and worming given

2) Buyer agrees to have puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours after sale. Should a problem be identified, the breeder shall be informed immediately and a written statement by your veterinarian.

3) If the puppy is sold as pet qualityor if the puppy is placed on limited registration and the new owner should decide to show or possibly breed his or her puppy, it will be up to the breeder to decide if the puppy is of quality to be shown or bred. Only the breeder can lift the limited registration. If the dog is to be bred, the breeder is to be informed and the breeder will guide the owner of picking the sire or dam for this dog. You only want quality, not quantity! We take great pride in the breeding of these dogs! 

4) If the puppy is not picked up at our home, it will be shipped via the most direct route to the buyer. The cost of the crate and health certificate plus shipping is $300.00 at buyers expense

5) No refund will be given after 72 hours. Should the puppy get sick before 72 hours arise, a replacement puppy will be given when one is available with proof from 2 vets of problem at buyer’s expense. At this time the dog will come back to breeder.

6) The breeder cannot guarantee that the dog will not contract hip dysplasia, Mange (Red Mange, Demodex Mange any type of mite mange) Hip dysplasia and Mange is a multifactorial genetic disease that can be transmitted in a recessive manner, therefore the breeder cannot guarantee against it.

7) The buyer agrees to give proper and loving care to the puppy.

8) The buyer agrees to maintain the dog in a healthy state. This includes all vaccinations, heart worm preventative and worming, along with proper nutrition.

9) The buyer agrees to provide a fenced yard, underground fencing, pen and or run with adequate shelter from the elements. The dog is not to be allowed to roam nor be chained out.

10) Breeder and buyer agree to keep each other informed of any address or telephone change.

If you have read this thoroughly and agree, a $500.00 non-refundable deposit will be required to hold the puppy. If for any reason the breeder should change his or her mind the $500.00 deposit will be returned.

If any of the above conditions of this contract are not met, the dog will be returned to the breeder with no refund of the dog.

I have read this agreement carefully and understand that it is a legally binding agreement.
